The difficulty is that we cannot reliably know which is which in advance.
Lower the threshold
When capture requires structure, we naturally reserve it for thoughts that already appear important. That filters out the uncertain, unfinished observations where future value often hides.
Unlost Brain lowers the threshold. If something gives you pause, you can keep it. You do not have to defend its importance or decide what category it belongs to.
Value can arrive later
A thought may become useful when it connects with something that has not happened yet. The right person, project, or question can suddenly give an old fragment new meaning.
